Sophia Cheng

Sophia Cheng is the Senior Executive Vice President of JihSun Financial Holding Co., Ltd. and also teaches in the Department of Intl Business of National Taiwan University. She leads company strategy plan and supervise group investment. Prior to this job, Sophia had 15 years experience in equity research with last position act as the vice chairman and head of equity research of Merrill Lynch Securities Taiwan. Sophia had also acted as the independent director of SinoPac Holdings and its subsidiary, SinoPac Securities during 20092010.

Sophia is highly regarded by the government because of her strong name recognition in financials sector research and proactive participation in government policies. She has been promoting banking reform and tax reform. Sophia holds Master of Science degree in finance‐banking from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California, USA. She also holds
bachelor degree in Atmospheric Sciences from National Taiwan University.
