Michael Lin

Michael Lin is Senior Executive Vice President of the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TWSE) and he has also been the Chairman of the Taiwan Ratings Corporation since July 2010. Based in Taipei, he is responsible for managing several TWSE operating units, including system development, computer operation, market data and corporate system, cooperate strategy and planning, and corporate communications. Being the Spokesman of the TWSE, he proactively encourages two-way dialogue between global investors and the Exchange and has successfully pushed for market reforms to open up Taiwan market.

Mr. Lin joined the TWSE in October 2006. Before assuming his current post, he was SEVP of the Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC). Prior to his tenure at TDCC, from 1990 to 2006, Mr. Lin worked at the Financial Information System Center and Post Office for 15 years.

Born in May 1951, Mr. Lin holds a L.L.B. degree from the National Taiwan University. Mr. Lin earns a Master's in MIS (Management Info Systems) from the National Chengchi University in 2005.
